FULL BODY ASSESSMENT / DIAGNOSTIC
In this 90 minute myotherapy intro session, Annie assesses the individual patient's physical condition to determine possible causes of pain, and the locations which may require treatment. Annie works with the patient to customize their recommended therapy, and prescribes a safe at-home corrective exercise regimen to empower the patient to take an active role in their own treatment.
After their intro session, patients may book for 60-90 minute trigger point therapy. Any adjustments necessary to alleviate the pain will be made throughout the course of treatment.
TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Pain Originates At Trigger Points
In trigger point therapy, pressure is carefully applied to a referred pain point -- temporarily denying it oxygen and causing the muscle spindles to release. This helps the muscle to return to its normal state of expansion. Through these referred pain points -- affected by the injury, the muscle pain is treated with the dual goals of returning to normal range of motion, and providing relief.
Following this session, patients will likely feel the urge to take a restorative nap, which is encouraged to help hasten healing.
An Exercise Regimen Unique To Every Patient
Maintenance Exercises provide an opportunity for clients to actively participate in their own recovery. Through a set of customized movements designed to help restore range of motion while helping the muscle relearn its duties to the body, the patient is able to enhance the efficacy of their myotherapy treatment plan.
The Maintenance Exercise regimen is unique to every patient, and remains open to Annie’s reevaluation at every new stage of the patient’s healing.
60-90 MINUTE SESSIONS FOR ADULTS + CHILDREN
Myotherapy Is Not Just For Adults
In each 60-90 minute session, Annie evaluates the patient’s pain, muscle tightness or muscle ache, to identify the trigger points where the pain originates. A treatment is likely to include trigger point therapy, and other myotherapy techniques, to treat and hasten the recovery of each and every body’s individual pain.
Between these appointments, Annie provides clients with a custom corrective exercise regimen to practice at home.
KINESIO TAPING (SPORTS TAPING)
KT Tape Supports Muscles, Joints, Tendons + Ligaments
Kinesio Tape/Sports tape remains in place for 3-4 days and is waterproof, though swimmers should use a special H2O tape. Sports taping is most often used by sports team members and athletes, children who play sports, and adults who require targeted support following an injury.
Taping can be added on to both 60 and 90 minute sessions, and is free for members to add. Non-members may also add the service, along with Thera-gun and Massager add-ons,
