ABOUT ANNIE NAYLOR, CMM, CET

Annie Naylor, CMM, CET is a Certified Master Myotherapist and Corrective Exercise Therapist. She is also a Level 1 CHEK-certified exercise coach with 32 years of experience. Her specialty is in helping those who’ve tried everything -- but haven’t yet experienced myotherapy.

At age 28 she decided to leave her former life living and working in Yosemite National Park to take on her career in healing. Studying at the Bonnie Prudden Institute for Physical Fitness and Myotherapy, Annie earned her Master’s certificate in myotherapy.

As she mastered the innovative and healing technique for resolving muscle pain and trauma, Annie discovered her passion for practicing myotherapy. Annie learned that the majority of muscular pain left untreated will become spinal or joint pathology -- or pain at a secondary site. She realized that the benefits of myotherapy weren’t widely known. With patients so frequently visiting doctors’ offices for help with muscular issues, she saw that myotherapy could more quickly solve these persistent problems. For doctors who refer patients to Annie, myotherapy quickly becomes a tool that significantly benefits their practice.

When I speak with a client, they’ve been in pain for a while.

My biggest job is to -- within a short period of time -- get them to believe in their own mind’s eye -- that they can get better, because they believe they can’t get better.

Annie’s courses of therapy are tailored to each person’s injury -- she believes “Everybody’s pain is individual to them; individual to their body.” Her techniques can treat a multitude of complaints, including chronic headaches, migraine due to computer usage, headache from muscular stress, lower back pain, carpal tunnel, neck and shoulder pain, sciatica and plantar fasciitis, injuries from motor vehicle accidents, teeth grinding and jaw clenching (TMD/TMJ), pregnancy and delivery, repetitive stress injuries caused by office strain, and strained hamstrings and knees.

Annie also provides preventive care: ideal for the young athlete, or for anyone predisposed to joint weakness. Sessions for both children, and adults of all ages -- customized to specific needs, backgrounds, and physical conditions -- are all available.
